Two Syrian governors removed

President Hafez al-Assad on Monday issued Presidential decree no 62 provides for relieving two governors from duty and appointing three new ones.
The decree, based on the local administration law and issued as per legislative decrees nos. 15 and 43 of 197 1, says:
1. Muhammad Najib al-Sayyed Agmad is exempted from his duty as governor of the Damascus countryside,
2. Muhammad Zuheir al-Taghlubi is exempted from his duty as the governor of Damascus,
3. Muhammad Safi Abu Dan is appointed as the Governor of Daraa',
4. Subhi Hmeideh is appointed as Damascus countryside governor, and
5. Nabeel Nasri is appointed as the governor of Damascus.
