Turkey gets international loans to build a gas pipeline

Turkey has received four loans from several banks estimated at a total value of US $131 million in order to finance part of the pipeline to transfer gas for internal use in East Anadolia.
The Cyprus-based Middle East Economic Survey, published in Nicosia on Monday, said the Turkish treasury on July 27 signed agreements with the Japanese Mardipini Bank worth US $90 million, with the Dutch AB Feast L B Bank and Luxembourg's Grante Bankasi worth US $15 million each as well as with the German Feast L B for US $11 million.
The costs of this part of the pipeline which will link Edirne and Emernly in Turkey are estimated at US $154 million.
