Syrian and Jordanian technical experts meet in Amman

The Syrian - Jordanian technical sub-committee held a meeting in Amman on Sunday. Members of the two delegations continued the discussions already started in the joint minutes of meetings of the joint higher committee chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries.

The participants in the meeting continued discussions topics pertaining to the trade exchange agreements between the two countries and ways of introducing new commodities into the agreement signed in 1975.

In a statement to SANA, the director of the Jordanian exporters society, Halim Abu Rahmeh, announced that a delegation of Jordanian exporters and merchants will visit Syria on August 22, with the objective of backing and strengthening economic and trade relations with the private and public trade sectors in Syria.

Abu Rahmeh added that this visit "will contribute to establishing strong relations between the two brotherly countries."
