Tunisia-Egypt, Politics, 7/31/1999
At the conclusion of its parliamentary session yesterday evening, the Tunisian council of deputies ratified two endorsed agreements between Egypt and Tunisia.
The first agreement tackles administrative cooperation to combat customs smuggling, and the second agreement concerns facilitating the transportation of persons and goods between the two states.
The council has ratified the two accords without discussion.
Youssef El-Mokadem, a deputy in the council, told ArabicNews.com today that these accords were endorsed during the meetings of the two states' prime ministers, Kamal El-Ganzoury and Hamed Karoui.
