Call to the AL to form committee for Kuwaiti prisoners of war

The Jordanian people's committee for families of Kuwaiti prisoners of war in Iraq called on Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid to form an Arab follow-up committee under his chairmanship that would ask diplomats, politicians, opinion leaders and organizations, unions, companies, people and humanitarians, to consider that the Arab League as the official and people's sponsor of the Arab nation.

In the communique sent to Abdul Meguid yesterday, the Jordanian committee expressed its readiness to take the residence of the committee in Amman, as the headquarters to the follow-up committee emerging from the Arab League.

Meanwhile, the Jordanian committee referred to the importance of AL dealing with this initiatives as a humanitarian issue that still occupy the concern of Kuwaiti citizens.
