Palestine, Israel get to work on Wye implementation

The Palestinian - Israeli joint steering committee met yesterday to discuss implementation of the remaining portions of the Wye River agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak's media advisor said today in a statement. Barak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat agreed to a two-week period during which the committee will "consolidate recommendations for the needs and mechanisms to implement their mutual commitments," the statement said.
