Three people died in late King Hassan II's funerals
Morocco, Politics, 7/29/1999

The Moroccan health department said three people died and 3,885 others were hospitalized last Sunday during the funerals of the late King Hassan II.

One person died in Casablanca and the two others in other parts of Morocco, the ministry said, adding that 12 people were seriously injured in the funerals.

More than 2 million people lined up through the three-kilometer funeral procession to pay final respects to the late King Hassan II, buried at the Mohammed V mausoleum, beside his father and brother, Moulay Abdallah.
