US: Israel intends to implement Wye if Palestinians want

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak told Palestinian President Yasser Arafat that he has "every intention of implementing the Wye agreement if that was their mutual desire," US National Security Adviser Sandy Berger said yesterday. Berger said that Barak and Arafat each phoned US President Bill Clinton to discuss the July 27 Palestinian - Israeli meeting.
