Yemeni Cabinet tackles economic issues

The Yemeni Cabinet yesterday approved a strategy for food security, the Yemeni news agency, Saba, reported. The agency added that the strategy analyzed challenges to food security and steps to be taken to counter these challenges.
The Cabinet also examined the electricity sector, aiming at lowering prices for consumers through private-sector investment, Saba said.
It added that the Cabinet also discussed the establishment of a rainfall, wind and vaporization-monitoring observatory, deciding to provide funding for a standardized network for such an observatory.
