The secretary general of the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine on Tuesday denied in a statement to the BBC news that Damascus had asked the Palestinian groups in Syria to drop their weapons or adopt the Middle East peace process.
Habash added that he and other Palestinian leaders met with Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam to discuss political conditions, saying they were not asked to halt military acts or any other activities.
