Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon

Lebanese resistance forces on Tuesday carried out a number of operations against the Israeli occupation forces and their South Lebanon Army militia allies in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that on Tuesday morning snipers shot a pro-Israeli militiamen inside the observation post of Jesr al-Hamra crossing leading to the zone. The statement added that the militia member was seriously wounded, and a military ambulance took him to al-Naqoura.

The statement continued that the Lebanese resistance carried out surprise attacks against the Israeli and militia positions in Hadatha, Barachit, Sweida, and Sujoud. It added that Lebanese fighters using rockets, machine guns and mortars were able to inflict direct casualties on soldiers manning the target positions and to destroy a number of the positions' installations.

Another Lebanese resistance statement said resistance group rocketed and machine-gunned Israeli military reinforcements inside al-Tibeh position in the zone's central sector, inflicting heavy losses on the Israeli forces.

The statement added that another Lebanese resistance group attacked, using rockets and mortars the Israeli position in Rass al-Bayada. The soldiers manning the position were killed and wounded and its western detachment was destroyed, the statement said.

Simultaneously, a third Lebanese resistance group attacked al-Hardoun position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon and inflicted casualties on soldiers, the statement said.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday continued their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security forces said the Israeli artillery bombarded violently and intensively the outskirts of al-Mansouri, and Majdal Zoun towns, using 155 mm shells and causing material damage to several houses.

Meanwhile, a SLA on foot force backed by an armored vehicle incurred some 500 meters into the isolated district in Ein Qenya town and carried out a vast operation targeting the woods of Ein Qenya and Meimas woods. The operation resulted in damages to plantations.

Moreover, Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over the western Bekaa and were targeted by Lebanese army anti-aircraft missiles. Furthermore, the Israeli occupation forces' artillery bombardment targeted Barachit town, hitting the houses of Lebanese citizens Ali and Hussein Shehab.

News reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli bombardment targeted the outskirts of Hadatha, Tibnin, Eita al-Jabal, Farroun, al-Ghanouriyah and Toulin towns as well as the neighboring villages.

The Israeli bombardment coincided with intensive flights by Israeli warplanes over the western and central sectors of south Lebanon.
