Iraq intends to increase oil exports

Iraqi Oil Minister Amer Mohammed Rasheed stated that Iraq intends to be the world's second-largest oil producer by early 2000. He said that Iraq intends to reach an output next year of over 3.5 million bpd, adding that Iraq had only received $50 million in spare parts out of $300 million allotted by the UN, the Iraqi News Agency reported.
