A donation for constructing 100 schools in Egypt worth 32 million pounds

The World Bank and the European Union have decided to offer a donation worth 100 million pounds to build 100 schools in El-Fayoum, south of Cairo. The governor of El-Fayoum, General Mohammed Hassan Tantawi, told ArabicNews.com today that the donation, besides the specified credit, is enough to meet the needs of all the governorate's towns for new schools until the year 2005.
