Iraqi - Indian talks on mutual economic cooperation

Iraqi - Indian talks began in Baghdad yesterday to address upgrading mutual cooperation between the two countries in the fields of petroleum, trade, agriculture and industry.
In the talks, the Indian side is chaired by Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Vazhapadi Ramamurthy, while the Iraqi side is chaired by Petroleum Minister Amer Mohammed Rashid.
In television statements, the Indian minister expressed his relief about the progress achieved in bilateral trade and economic relations, adding that the sanctions imposed on Iraq forms a great obstacle before upgrading and improving these relations.
