Lebanese president confers with renowned Egyptian journalist

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud received renowned Egyptian writer and journalist Muhammad Hasanin Haikal on Monday in Beirut. The two men reviewed various regional and international matters, especially the Lebanese position concerning the Middle East peace process. A similar meeting was also held between Haikal and Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss.
