Continued Israeli aggressions against south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 7/27/1999

Israeli occupation forces on Monday renewed their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery positioned in Tallet al-Abbad bombarded the outskirts of Qib Reiha, Tulin, and Wadi al-Qeseyeh, using 155 mm shells.

Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesman said an explosive charge, planted by the Lebanese resistance went off on Monday near a position of the Israeli occupation troops in al-Tebeh district in the occupied part of south Lebanon. According to the Israeli military spokesman no casualties were reported, Israel Radio said.

Moreover, Israeli warplanes on Monday raided for the third time al-Qeseyeh valley between al-Sawanneh and al-Tamereyah. News reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli warplanes dropped air-surface missiles against the targeted area, resulting in fires in the plantations. The mock and provocative raids launched by the Israeli warplanes prevented access of firefighting equipment to the area.

On Monday morning one Lebanese resistance group attacked al-Tibeh Israeli position, directly and intensively, using missiles. In its statement, the Lebanese resistance said direct hits were achieved and flames were seen inside the Israeli position.

A second resistance group attacked the occupation position in Tallet al-Qab'a in Markaba, using machine-guns and rockets. Direct hits were achieved.
