World women's conference to be held in Yemen

The regional bureau of the World Federation for Women will convene its first regional conference in the capital Sanaa on August 10 - 12.
In its Monday issue, the Yemeni daily al-Thawra said the conference will be held under the title "The position of the Arab woman in the map of the next century."
Women leaders from all Arab states are taking part in the conference with the objective of creating joint cooperation among the women of the Arab region toward cultural and social activities, discussing several work papers relevant to women's cause in general and those of the Arab women, in particular as well as matters pertaining to globalization and family matters during the coming millennium.
