New strategy for USAID

The executive manager of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Cairo, Richard Brown, has finished the drafting of general guidelines for the strategy for new donations, aimed at increasing the rate of growth, foreign investments and exports as well as boosting the private sector in Egypt.

The new strategy focuses on the important corporations that help in transforming the role of the government from the producer and controller of production into the role of supervisor and organizer of the activity of the private sector.

The US agency is planning to support the programs that try to ease the restraints on the private sector.
