Abdul Meguid heads to Qatar

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid is to head from Morocco to Qatar tomorrow to meet with Qatar's emir, foreign minister and high-ranking Qatari officials in Doha to discuss the new developments in the Arab arena, and the Arab summit for which Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has called.

The official spokesman for the A.L., Talaat Hamid said during his visit to Qatar, made at the official invitation of the Qatari foreign minister, Abdul Meguid will tackle developments in the Middle East, Arab reconciliation, and the articles included in the agenda of Arab foreign ministers' council which is to be held on September 4 -5.

The meetings will tackle subjects of interest to the Arab League and Qatar, such as rectifying relations between Arab states and the possibility of convening an Arab summit soon.
