Morocco: Mubarak confers with leaders of the world

Within the frame of escorting the funeral of the late Moroccan monarch, King Hassan, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak held a series of meetings with leaders of the world taking part in the funeral as well.

At Rabat airport, Mubarak met with Spain's King Juan Carlos, also meeting with US President Bill Clinton, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, French President Jacques Chirac, former US President George Bush, Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Saad El-Abdullah.

Egyptian diplomatic sources confirmed today that President Mubarak discussed with Arab officials the latest developments in the Middle East and Arab North Africa amid the death of the Moroccan monarch. He also discussed the role of Morocco in peace process, and Jerusalem committee that was chaired by the late Moroccan monarch.
