Polish FM holds talks in Damascus

Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Salim Yassin on Sunday received Polish Foreign Minister Bronislaw Geremek and members of the accompanying delegation.
Talks dealt with standing cooperation relations between Syria and Poland and opportunities available to diversify and develop them. Draft agreements under discussion between the two countries in the areas of trade and investment were reviewed.
Ties in the areas of culture, education, technology transfer and the exchange of expertise were also discussed. The Polish minister noted the joint desire in the two countries to strengthen, develop and diversify bilateral relations in various fields.
