New Moroccan king married secretly

Governmental sources in Rabat said on Sunday that King Muhammad VI, who has become the king of Morocco has gotten married secretly, just few hours following the death of his father Hassan II.

The sources, who asked not to be identified, said the new king, who announced his father's death via Moroccan television on Friday, got married on the evening of the same day in order to meet the Moroccan and Islamic traditions which necessitate that the king of the country should be married.

On the other hand, the identity of the new queen was not revealed. The Moroccan government refused to confirm the news of the marriage and confined to saying that marriage is a legal matter.
