Morocco Wins Gold, Bronze Medals in First Day of African Junior Athletics Championships

Morocco won a gold medal and a bronze one in the first day of the African junior athletics championships, currently held in Tunis. Malika Asahsah grabbed the gold medal of the women's 3000 m, covering the distance in 9:15.11. Her countryman Yahia Benrabah won the bronze medal of the triple jump, making 14.72 m.
Several other Moroccan athletes qualified to the finals of their disciplines and promise more medals.
