Morocco, Andorra sign convention of assistance to prisoners and transfer of convicts

Morocco and the principality of Andorra signed in Rabat on Thursday a convention on assistance to prisoners and the transfer of convicts to serve their sentences in their home country.
Moroccan Justice Minister Omar Azziman, who initialed the convention, said the document is part of Morocco's efforts to reform its penitentiary system and help reintegrate convicted persons.
For Andorra's minister of foreign relations, Albert Pintat, the two countries have made excellent efforts of consultation to conclude this "humanitarian" convention that will enable each country to assist its own nationals imprisoned in the other country.
