11 percent of jobs in Morocco are provided by tourism

Moroccan Tourism Minister Hassan Sebbar said in Tangiers Thursday that tourism provides 11% of jobs in Morocco and secures a rapid profitability of investments.
The minister, who was chairing the graduation ceremony at the International Higher Tourism Institute of Tangiers (ISITT), said in addition to these material advantages, tourism weaves human relations with peoples and countries of the world.
A total of 211 tourism professionals graduated this year from the Tangiers institute, including 24 new graduates from foreign countries, while another 50 foreign students are studying there.
He called the new graduates to set up their own enterprises in order to create jobs for others, and announced that new courses of hotel and tourism business management will be taught in the school.
Six graduates received 10 US scholarships granted by a US association.
According to the headmaster of the ISITT, which was created 27 years ago, a total of 2,286 students graduated from the first cycle and 721 from the second cycle, including 329 foreigners.
