King Hassan meets Yemeni president

King Hassan II, accompanied by Crown Prince Sidi Mohamed and Prince Moulay Rachid, received Wednesday evening at the royal place of Skhirat (40 km south of Rabat) visiting Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The king had afterwards tete-a-tete talks with the Yemeni president and hosted a dinner in his honor.
The Yemeni president, who arrived on Wednesday in Morocco, told reporters that he would review with the king of Morocco bilateral relations, the latest developments on the Arab and international scenes.
President Ali Abdullah Saleh also said that talks cover preparations for the Arab summit and the results of the talks he had in this regard with Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi and President Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria.
The Yemeni president stressed the importance of enhancing inter-Arab cooperation ties and complementarity to enable the Arab states to counter the challenges they are facing.
Yemen, he said, pins great hope on the important role King Hassan II can play for the consolidation of Arab ranks and solidarity and for the materialization of Arab people's expectations.
