Visits expected between Algerian president, Moroccan monarch at end of July
Algeria-Morocco, Politics, 7/22/1999

Algerian official sources stated yesterday that there would be a summit soon between Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Morocco's King Hassan II at the end of this month in a border city in western Algeria.

Sources said that Bouteflika, who is to make a tour of western Algeria within the coming days to explain the dimensions of the civil concord law, will end his tour by meeting with King Hassan II in Telmesan state.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the remaining matters between the two states, including reopening the land borders, visa affairs, combating the drug smuggling and coordinating efforts to end the movement of the Armed Islamic Group's elements, in addition to the Saharan issues.
