Abdul Meguid due in Qatar on Monday

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid is due to visit the Qatari capital Doha on July 26, at the invitation of Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem al-Thani.

Abdul Meguid is to meet with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani and Qatari officials to discuss the developments of the situations in the Middle East, the Gulf and Iraq.

Sources in the Arab League said Abdul Meguid is to discuss developments in the Middle East peace process in light of the Labor Party coming to power in Israel and the expected Arab summit in autumn.
