Syrian - Jordanian committees meet today in Amman

The preparatory committees of the Jordanian- Syrian higher committee have continued to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in implementation of the directives set by President al-Assad and Jordan's King Abdullah II.

The Higher committee holds a meeting today chaired by Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Muhammad al-Imadi and Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Muhammad Asfour.

The head of the Syrian delegation, Deputy of Economy Minister Shibli Abu al-Fakher, told reporters in Amman in an arrival statement on Wednesday that a number of cooperation agreements in different domains will be concluded during the meeting.

The committee is due to hold a meeting on Saturday to be chaired by Syrian Prime Minister Mahmoud al-Zou'bi and his Jordanian counterpart, Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh.
