European involvement in reviving Middle East peace

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine discussed in Paris on Tuesday night with the European Union's Middle East peace process special envoy, Miguel Moratinos, the question of European participation in the peace process. A statement released by the French Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said the two men raised the question of encouraging and backing the Middle East peace process in the coming phase in a meeting held between the two sides.
