Moussa to confer with British FM
Egypt-UK, Politics, 7/21/1999

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa is to hold important talks on Monday with British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Geoffery Hoon, who is to arrive in Cairo on Sunday in his first visit to Egypt which will last for two days, and during which he will be received by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Fathi El-Shazley said this visit comes in light of learning about the Egyptian position toward the efforts to resume the peace process in the Middle East, within the framework of the latest developments, and Ehud Barak's coming to the Israeli priemiership.

El-Shazly said Egypt is greatly concerned with this visit in light of the European Union countries' concern with discovering and informing with making peace in Middle East.

Hoon assumed his office in May.

Meanwhile, Moussa confirmed that Egypt's position is stable concerning China.
