Sudan, Politics, 7/21/1999
Sudanese military sources have said that the US in collaboration with Uganda and the rebel movement in southern Sudan led by John Garang had created a plan to invade the southern states, which are controlled by the Sudanese government.
The sources asserted that the plan, which will start from Uganda under the direct supervision of the CIA, will be implemented by 5,311 soldiers, some 10 helicopters and various American high-tech weapons in order to occupy Juba, Meilkal, Port Sudan, al-Mujallad and other strategic positions in southern Sudan.
