Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi on Wednesday will pay a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia. In a statement issued on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Kharazi will discuss with high-ranking Saudi officials viewpoints on the march of bilateral relations, matters pertaining to the oil market especially the shares decided for each OPEC member, the production ceiling for oil, the stability of the oil market and the meeting of the OPEC member states' summit. The Arab states which are in the African continent have asked Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid to postpone the meeting of the AL council due to be held on September 8 - 9 at the level of foreign ministers to a new date, because the meeting coincides with the special meetings of the African summit which Tripoli will host on September from 6 - 9. The ambassador of Azrbigan, Shahin Abd Allah, released a statement in Cairo yesterday in which he strongly denied that his country has handed over any members of the Jihad group, chaired by Ayman El-Zawahry, from those who have been indicated in the case of those who came from Albania. US President Bill Clinton said yesterday in a report on Libyan sanctions to the US Congress that the US Office of Foreign Assets Control is making amendments to the regulations on unilateral sanctions against Libya to allow the sale of "agricultural commodities and products, medicine, and medical supplies" to Libya according to changes the US administration made to sanctions earlier this year. The director general of the Arab Labor Organization, Ibrahim Qweidar, has underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation among the Arab states as a regional power with the International Labor Organization with a view to promoting joint activities. In a Monday statement in Cairo, Qweider said the two organizations are to hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss bilateral cooperation, ways of strengthening it, labor force activities, occupational training, the work of women and children and other pressing issues. Four Belgian hostages returned safely on Monday to the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, after they had been held by Yemeni tribesmen for four days. A Yemeni official said in a statement on Monday that the Belgian tourists, two men and two women, will spend the night in Sanaa before they decide whether they will continue their tour of Yemen. Go

The Algerian daily al-Youm said on Monday that one Algerian citizen was killed and other two were wounded as a result of a bomb explosion on Sunday in Teyarat province, 340 km from the capital, Algiers. Go
