Israel continues aggression against south Lebanon

Israeli forces on Monday continued attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security forces said the Israeli artillery on Monday shelled al-Zaatar mount and the suburbs of Tabnin, Eita al-Jabal and Barashit.

Israeli jet fighters also broke the sound barrier over Beirut twice. Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces shelled the forests of Qatrani and Burkat al-Jabour as well as the suburbs of al-Sarerah in the western Bekaa. The Israeli war planes carried out intensive flights over the western and central sectors of south Lebanon, Lebanese security sources said.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces and its militia allies closed off Kafer Houneh crossing in the wake of an operation carried out on Monday morning by the Lebanese resistance against the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia at the said crossing.

An Israeli military spokesman acknowledged the death of a member of the SLA militia on Monday at dawn.
