Moroccan Ouaziz wins 3000 m at Nice athletics meeting

Moroccan athlete Zahra Ouaziz won on Saturday the women's 3000 m race of the Nikai meeting of Nice, France.
Ouaziz timed 8:30.01, ahead of Portuguese Fernanda Ribeiro and another Moroccan, Asmae Laghzaoui.
Moroccan world women's 400 m hurdles champion, Nezha Bidouane, came in second in her race, won by Romania's Ionela Tirlo.
Salah Hissou, former World 10,000 m recordman, ranked second in the 3,000 m race, grabbed by World unbeatable star, Haile Gibreselassie of Ethiopia.
Another Moroccan, Ali Zine came in second in the 3000 m steeplechase, won by Kenyan Paul Kosgei.
The Nice Nikai meeting was marked by the absence of Moroccan Hicham El-Guerrouj, world 1500 m and mile recordman. El-Guerrouj failed to attend because of illness.
