Iran expresses readiness to negotiate with UAE
United Arab Emirates-Iran, Politics, 7/19/1999

Iran said it is ready to negotiate with no premeditated conditions with the United Arab Emirates regarding the three disputed Gulf islands which form a matter of conflict between them.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi renewed his call for his UAE counterpart, Hamad Bin Zayed al-Nahyan, to visit Tehran to discuss this issue.

The declaration of the Iranian Foreign Ministry comes to answer the invitation directed by the UAE's minister of state for foreign affairs to Tehran to end its occupation of the three disputed Gulf islands through negotiations or restoring to the International Court of Justice.
