US - British bombardment of Iraq

Some 14 persons were killed and another 17 were wounded as a result of air strikes carried out by British and US warplanes in southern Iraq. An Iraqi military spokesman said that some 16 "enemy formations" carried out 14 sorties over the areas of the provinces of al-Basra, al-Muthana, Zee Qar, Meisan, and struck several Iraqi civilian constructions.
