Al-Kharafi elected as chairman of the Kuwaiti Nation's Council

Members of the Kuwaiti Nation's Council on Saturday elected parliamentarian Jasem al-Khurafi as chairman of the council, while parliarmentarian Mashari al-Anjari was elected as vice-chairman.
Parliament members Ahmad Abdul Aziz al-Sadoun and Jasem al-Kharafi competed for the presidency of the council. Al-Kharafi got 37 votes against 27 votes and Sadoun, who had been the chairman of the Nation's Council in Kuwaiti for two consecutive constitutional courses.
The post of the vice-chairman was competed for by three Parliamentarians: Talal al-Ayar, Mubaral al-Dweilah and Mashara al-Anjari. Mashari al-Anjari got 33 votes and al-Ayar 32 votes.
