New French Airbus in Damascus for Syrian airlines

The third Airbus contracted upon by the Syrian Airline company with the Airbus company landed at Damascus International Airport on Saturday.
The plane was welcomed by Syrian Transport Minister Mufeed Abdul Karim, the French ambassador in Damascus and high-ranking ministry officials.
After he inspected the plane's various departments, the minister told SANA that this plane is a third of a total of six planes contracted upon between the Syrian Airline company and the French Airbus company.
The minister continued that, "Such renovation in the Syrian air fleet is but a basic measure to expand the development in the country in general and its air transport sector, in particular."
He continued that the fourth plane will arrive in September, the fifth in October and the sixth in December, adding, "Thereby the six planes will arrive this year, 1999," to ensuring good service.
