Notable reduction in Hizbullah military operations against Israel
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 7/19/1999
The spokesman for the Israeli army, Odet Bin Ami, has announced that there has been a notable decrease in Hizbullah operations since the air strikes launched by the Israeli air force on June 24 against various targets in the depths of the Lebanese territories.
In a press conference held in Haifa on Sunday, Bin Ami stressed that units of the Israeli army and the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia will continue confrontation of all attempts made by members of the Hizbullah party and to attack their training centers.
He stated that the Israeli army is ready technically and technologically speaking to evacuate any position in the West Bank, south Lebanon or the Golan Heights, if it is asked to do so on the political level, Israeli Radio reported.
