Libya pays compensation to France for airplane accident

The Libyan authorities transferred the funds necessary for compensating heirs of victims of an airplane explosion in 1989, due to the which 180 persons were killed, to France according to the judgment issued by the special felonies court on March 31.
According to this judgment, the heirs will receive the funds that were transferred from Libya to France.
France announced its relief for Libya's concern with the accident. With this Libyan procedure the way will be paved for a full resumption of Libyan - French relations.
