Jordan's King Abdullah meets Turkish President

Jordan's King Abdullah bin Hussein held talks yesterday with Turkish President Suleiman Demirel after his arrival to the Jordanian city of Aqaba, coming from the Palestinian lands.
A Jordanian official source said today that the talks tackled the efforts exerted to resume the Arab - Israeli peace process and support bilateral ties in different fields in addition to issues of joint concern.
On his tour the Turkish president is escorted by a formal delegation that includes Foreign Minister Ismail Cem and Turkish businessmen as well as water experts.
Demirel previously ended a three-day visit to Israel and the Palestinian self-rule areas that reflected bilateral ties between Ankara and Tel Aviv.
