57% decrease in commercial exchange between Egypt and Israel

Official sources in the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply said that commercial exchange between Egypt and Israel decreased by nearly 57% between 1997 and 1998.
The sources added that commercial exchange between the two sides decreased from $354 million in 1997 to $152 million in 1998.
The sources said that Egyptian imports from Israel decreased from nearly $41.6 million in 1997 to nearly $19.5 million in 1998 i.e 53.29%, while Egyptian exports to Israel decreased during the same period from $312.2 million to $132.7 million, i.e 57.49%.
