Morocco calls for forum of Moroccan, Spanish agriculture operators

Morocco has called for convening a forum of Moroccan and Spanish operators dealing in the sector of agriculture.
The call that was first launched during the meeting held last April 20 in Madrid between the Moroccan and Spanish agriculture ministers was renewed on Wednesday in Rabat at a meeting between Spanish Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Jesus Posada, and Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries Habib Malki.
The two ministers initialed on the occasion the minutes of the Madrid meeting of last April.
Morocco proposes in the document the holding of a forum of the major public and private agriculture operators who will explore ways of upgrading bilateral cooperation and set a working program for the coming years.
The document also provides for mechanisms to enhance cooperation in matters of technicians' training and research in agriculture and to boost exchanges between agriculture operators and experts.
Jesus Posada, who started on Tuesday a two-day official visit to Morocco, conferred with other cabinet members, including the minister in charge of the government general affairs, Ahmed Lahlimi, and the minister in charge of fisheries, Thami Khyari.
