Aideed concludes tour of four African states
Somalia, Politics, 7/14/1999
Somali warlord Hussein Muhammad Aideed arrived back in Makadishu at the conclusion of his five-day tour of Libya, Eritrea, Egypt and Kenya.
Aideed's advisors said his plane landed at the airport of Baleidogel, just 90 km west of Makadishu, and he was escorted by members of the militias who were equipped with heavy weapons to the Somali capital.
Aideed had left Makadishu on June 4 following two days of the al-Rahanwin Army for Resistance's control of the city of Beedawa.
On Monday he accused Addis Ababa of having control of the city, but the al-Rahanwin Army for Resistance denied any intervention from the side of Ethiopia in the fighting.
