Additional Syrian aid to Lebanon
Syria-Lebanon, Politics, 7/14/1999
The second batch of Syrian aid for Lebanon arrived on Tuesday in Beirut to help rebuild the power stations of al-Jamhour and Bsalim. Eight Syrian trucks carried electrical equipment. The trucks, sent under the name "Solidarity with Lebanon," were accompanied by an engineering delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Electricity. Since the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and the destruction of the two Lebanese power stations, Syrian electricity Minister Munib Saem al-Daher has visited Lebanon twice to get acquainted with Lebanon's needs.
