Debate in Kuwaiti council due to law on women's practice political rights

The Kuwaiti deputies council is to convene its first session on July 17, and it will discuss the possibility of Kuwaiti women's participation in elections, regarding which an emiri decree was previously issued.
Some Kuwaiti women stated that they will present their names as candidates in February of next year.
This development is confronted by a refusal from most of the Kuwaiti deputies, who oppose this decree issued by the emir Kuwait in May, during the period of when the Ummah council was dissolved.
