Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/13/1999
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has ordered the Israel Defense forces to increase security cooperation with the Palestinians to prepare for a possible terrorist attack, Barak's media advisor said in a statement today.
Barak said that the current movement in the peace process may prompt terrorist attacks from the process' opponents.
The statement added that Barak expressed in talks with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that, "Terrorism is liable to bring the peace process to a halt."
