Israeli Hadash movement calls for postponing Turkish President's visit

The Israeli Democratic Front for Peace and Equality, Hadash, has called on
Israeli President Ezer Weizman to postpone the visit set for Turkish President Suleiman Demirel due tomorrow to Israel until Turkey abrogates the death sentence released against the leader of the Kurdistani Workers Party (PKK), Abdulah Ocalan.
Israel Radio said that a member of the front, Issam Makhoul, who presides over what is called the Israeli committee for saving Ocalan, has submitted a request to the Turkish authorities to permit him to meet with Ocalan in the prison, where he is being held.
