Towards anti-terrorism pacts in the Arab states

Arab officials in the areas of fighting terrorism in the Arab states will meet tomorrow in Tunis in the framework of the council of the Arab ministers of the interior in order to discuss means of drawing a united typical law to fight terrorism.

The law is expected to be debated at the annual conference of the Arab ministers of the interior, which Algeria will host at the beginning of next year. This meeting is considered the second of its kind following the first meeting for the Arab officials in charge for fighting terrorism in the Arab states which was held last year in Tunis.

An official in the general secretariat of the council of the Arab ministers of the interior said that the meeting "is of special importance due to the dangers resulting from the phenomenon of terrorism in all countries of the world and the efforts exerted by the council to contain this phenomenon and avert their peoples and our (Arab) societies."
